Overview

The National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) enables meritorious SC/ST students to pursue postgraduate and doctoral studies at top-ranked foreign universities across specified fields of study.

Eligibility

Applicant must belong to SC/ST/Denotified Tribes/Landless Agricultural Labourers, family income below the prescribed ceiling, admission secured or sought in a recognised foreign university.

Benefits

Full tuition fee, living allowance, contingency and travel costs covered for the approved course duration.

Required Documents

Caste certificate, income certificate, admission/offer letter, academic transcripts, passport copy.

Application Process

Apply online through the National Overseas Scholarship portal within the notified window; shortlisted candidates are called for interview.

Renewal Information

Renewal each academic year subject to satisfactory academic progress reports.
