Tina Dabi was born on 9 November 1993 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh; both of her parents are Indian Engineering Service officers.
BA in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University.
She cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2015 on her first attempt, ranking first overall (AIR 1) in the open/general merit list at age 22. She joined the IAS and was posted to the Rajasthan cadre, serving in roles including Assistant Collector in Ajmer and subsequent district postings, with a public focus on education and sanitation initiatives.
First Dalit woman to top the UPSC Civil Services Examination (2015). Her result is frequently cited in Indian media and by aspirants as a milestone, in part because she secured the top rank through open competition rather than a reserved-category cutoff.
